The Wheel of Time is an epic fantasy novel series written by Robert Jordan, a pen-name for James Oliver Rigney Jr. (1948-2007). After Jordan's death, the series was completed by Brandon Sanderson, working closely from Jordan's detailed notes.

The series consists of fourteen novels in the main sequence, a stand-alone prequel and two companion volumes. Spin-off media includes a pen-and-paper roleplaying game, a video game, a soundtrack album, a comic book adaptation, T-shirts, replica weapons and the Amazon television series.
